Services

Drawings to commissioning. One project lead.

BANEC delivers five specialties under one roof — design, construction, materials testing, transport engineering, and workshop fabrication — so handovers do not fall through the cracks between consultants. Each specialty below has been delivered on dozens of sites. The scope, the deliverables and the people who do the work are listed in plain language.

Disciplines

Five disciplines, one project lead.

Architectural and structural drawings spread on a desk.

Architectural and Engineering Designs

Architectural drawings / Structural design / Electromechanical design (LV, plumbing, HVAC)

Architectural concepts, structural calculations and electromechanical schemes — drawn, costed and stamped, ready for KCCA or district approval.

  • Architectural working drawings + as-built drawings
  • Structural drawings (RC frame, masonry, steel)
  • Electromechanical schemes (LV reticulation, plumbing, lightning protection)
  • Bill of Quantities (BOQ) with itemised rates
  • 3D visualization for client review and approvals
  • Engineer-stamped drawings for KCCA or district approval

Construction & Project Management

Reinforced concrete works (RC frame, slabs, footings) / Masonry & finishes / Site supervision & clerk-of-works

From substructure to handover, delivered under one project lead. Reinforced concrete frames, masonry, finishes and external works — programmed, supervised and signed off.

  • Substructure: excavation, blinding, RC footings, ground beams
  • Superstructure: RC frame, suspended slabs, masonry infill
  • Finishes: plaster, screeds, tiling, joinery, painting
  • External works: paving, drainage, perimeter walls, gates

Materials and Laboratory Services

Concrete testing (cubes, slump, mix design) / Soil & aggregate testing / Asphalt & pavement testing

In-house testing and certification of concrete, soils, aggregates and asphalt — quality assurance from mix design to placement, traceable on every site.

  • Concrete cube tests, slump tests, mix-design proofs
  • Soil compaction (Proctor), CBR and bearing-capacity tests
  • Aggregate sieve analysis, fines and silt content
  • Asphalt content, bitumen extraction and pavement density

Transport Engineering Works

Roads & highways / Pavement design / Drainage & culverts

Roads, highways, drainage and pavement works delivered end-to-end — from geometric design and structural pavement sizing through earthworks, culvert placement, asphalt or surface dressing, to ancillary bridges, traffic-impact assessments and road-safety audits. ERB-registered transport engineers lead each project; the in-house materials lab handles compaction, CBR and bitumen verification.

  • Geometric design: alignment, cross-sections, super-elevation, sight distance
  • Pavement structural design (flexible & rigid) with traffic-load classification
  • Earthworks, subgrade preparation, sub-base & base-course placement
  • Drainage works: culverts, side drains, mitre drains, scour protection

Workshop and Fabrication Works

Steel & metal / Aluminium & glass / Timber & joinery

Workshop production and on-site installation across steel, aluminium, glass and timber — trusses, gates, balustrades, doors, partitions, curtain walls, bespoke joinery and treated structural poles. One yard, one delivery team, finished to specification.

  • Steel: roof trusses, gates, grilles, balustrades, staircases
  • Aluminium: windows, partitions, sliding doors, curtain walls
  • Glass: glazing, frameless shopfronts, partitions
  • Timber: roof structures, doors, frames, skirting and architraves

Frequently asked

Things prospective clients ask.

If your question is not here, the contact page takes you straight to the office.

Our office is on Biina A Road, Butabika Parish, Nakawa Division, Kampala (near the Bbina Catholic Church Students Hostel). We work across Central and Eastern Uganda, with active sites in Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono, Buikwe and Jinja, and we accept commissions across the wider East African region.

Both. We can produce structural and architectural drawings + a Bill of Quantities for you to build with a third-party contractor, or we can deliver the project end-to-end: design, construction, electromechanical fit-out, and handover under one project lead.

Yes. Lead engineers are ERB-registered. We are also members of UNABCEC, and our works are compliant with the Ministry of Works and Transport guidelines.

Within one working day. Send a site address, a rough scope, and a deadline. We reply with a site-visit slot and a starting BOQ.

We handle both. Civil works (RC frame, masonry, finishes) and electromechanical works (three-phase LV reticulation, distribution boards, plumbing 1st and 2nd fix, water reticulation, lightning protection) are delivered in-house.

Both. BANEC delivers transport-engineering works as a full discipline — geometric and pavement design, earthworks, drainage and culverts, asphalt or surface dressing, and small bridge structures. We also handle traffic-impact assessments and road-safety audits where required for approvals.

For a four-storey apartment with drawings already approved, allow 10 to 14 months from substructure to handover. Drawings and approvals typically add another 8 to 12 weeks before block one is laid.

BOQ-based: items priced and approved before work, milestone payments tied to substructure, superstructure, finishes and handover. Bank transfer or mobile money (MTN, Airtel). UGX or USD-denominated contracts available.

Yes. Independent clerk-of-works supervision is one of our services: daily site visits, concrete-cube and steel-grade verification, variation pricing review, and contract administration on behalf of the client.

Not sure which discipline you need?

Send us a sketch or a site photograph. We will tell you what the project actually needs: drawings only, full build, or supervision.
